BOMBAY BISTRO`S TANDOORI ROCKFISH

 

Servings : For two

 

Rockfish : 2 nos (average ¾ pound after cleaning)

Yogurt : 2 cups natural yogurt

Ginger : 2 teaspoons fresh ginger paste

Garlic : 1 ½ teaspoons fresh garlic paste

Chilly Powder : ½ teaspoons

Curry Powder : 1 teaspoon

Ajwain seeds : ½ teaspoons

Lemon juice : juice of ½ a lemon.

Garam Masala ½ teaspoon

Salt ; to taste

 

Make a marinade by mixing the ingredients together and beating them well to mix evenly.

Clean the rockfish and remove the scales and fins. Using a sharp knife place slanting cuts on either side of the fish.

Place the fish in the marinade for at least an hour.

Cook in a tandoor oven for 12 minutes.

Serve with fresh salad , boiled vegetables and rice.

(The fish can also be cooked on open charcoal grills or in pre-heated home oven for 15 20 minutes at high setting.)
